Natasha Lehman
Natasha Lehman is a contemporary artist with a B.A. in Visual Arts from The University of Western
Ontario. Represented by Arta Gallery in Toronto’s Distillery District and Marten Gallery in Bayfield, her
work has been featured in numerous local and international exhibitions, including the Artist Project and
Artwalk Square. In 2021, she was highlighted in Saatchi Art’s Women to Watch collection during the
Global Virtual edition of The Other Art Fair. Natasha’s paintings are deeply rooted in the Canadian
landscape, capturing the essence of Northern Ontario and Lake Superior with depictions of water, forest
scenes and rock formations. Her intuitive approach to painting creates a delicate balance between
abstraction and representation, where the viewer can recognize familiar scenes yet weave their own
narrative. She paints in oil, preferring the slow drying time and rich colors and applies the paint more
akin to watercolour rather than thick impasto. Her goal is to capture the essence of authenticity,
fostering a dialogue between quiet studio reflection and the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.
